Burden

Narrow road,

Two kids,

Reading textbooks

On their slow way

To school,

Oblivious to the

Splendors of the

Spring morn;

Two child- workers,

Carrying head-loads

Of gravel,

Opposite direction,

Passing them by:

Absolute silence.
