To: A real friendly Dane Kasper Andersen
It is—
Kasper, Kasper, all the way,
The superman—
Perpetually,
Moving around home-hunters,
Locals and foreigners,,
He, this democratic youth, takes them—
Folks and their little baggage,
Driving them to new
Shrinking sublets;
The friendly, gentle Dane—
A true brother for the valiant but
Lonely internationals, most of them,
Already low on income and their spirits;
Kasper helps them shift up/down
The cold Aarhus;
And sets them off in new quiet
Neighborhoods,
Where icy rains and wind dances,
His warm smile lighting up—
Their small universes!
A reasonable-n- real mover-n-shaker,
He facilitates re/ re-locations,
And enables the floating ones,
Realize their human- n- just dreams,
Poor frightened young learners,
Overseas and locals,
Stepping off a Dickensian novel,
In and around academic Aarhus,
Where officials, as usual,
Do not care for these Others!
